MediaCombo recently wrapped three days of principal photography for a Camry car commercial. “Crystal” was directed by Tenn Xoomsai of Bangkok based Triton Film for Dentsu Advertising Agency and Toyota Motor Car Company of Thailand. The commercial shows two Camrys driving on the Manhattan Bridge, FDR Drive, Grand Central Viaduct and many other icon places in New York City leaving a trail of animated crystals in their path.
The project involved helicopter aerials, two days of car-to-car photography using the Ultimate Arm and extensive coordination with the NY Police Department and Department of Transportation to coordinate the filming on NYC’s busy streets and highways.
MediaCombo researched, wrote, filmed and edited over 30 audio-visual pieces for this project, including three original short documentaries for this new Visitor Center and Museum, known as Building 92, opening on November 11th, 2011
The videos tell a multifaceted story of the Yard’s extraordinary history: as a military base, technological innovator and jobs engine, until its decommissioning in 1966 and subsequent struggle to survive. Today it’s a thriving urban, sustainable, industrial park with a museum, a job-training center and a rich historical archive. 2011
